Let's kick this board off, shall we
I currently have two Skyes at home but I also have some other pets who vie with the Skyes for attention. Until very recently I had the world's most evil cat, Kizzy, who would beg for fuss and then bite you for no reason! She is very sadly missed, especially by Freedom who would sit for hours trying to kiss the cat, much to her disgust (it was a love-hate relationship, he loved - she hated).
I also have a corn snake called Comet. Comet is 11 years old, I have had him since he was about three months and he's a rather attractive colour variety called a candy cane. All that really means is that he looks stripy - he has a white base colour with vivid orange saddles, some rather fetching caramel coloured shading and red eyes. He is about 5' 3" long and a complete and utter wimp...I mean, fearsome, scary predator
I also have a collection of aquatic animals: Murasaki is my Weather Loach (sometimes called a Dojo Loach), a kind of catfish that looks remarkably eel-like; I have two White Cloud Minnows called Mo and Lemon (I started a few years ago with six), and I have a small colony of Malaysian Trumpet Snails. The snails were an accident, they hitched a ride in some filter media and, despite being a tropical species, managed to survive in my cold water tank. I thought I only had one, affectionately called Snaily Friend, but he seems to have been cloning himself as I have now seen at least four more. The way I look at it is if they're surviving in the cold even though they shouldn't then they're obviously meant to be there! They're also quite fun to watch
I think that is actually all of them, for now anyway. In the last few years I have owned quite a menagerie including guinea pigs, an African Pygmy Hedgehog, a pair of Degus, a Kakiriki (a type of parakeet), a scorpion (!) and around eight more corn snakes. I imagine I'm going to accumulate some more animals, it seems to be some kind of addiction...
